In this message, Pastor Andy Clark reminds us that Christmas doesn’t end on December 25th—because Jesus’ presence and purpose keep going. Using the story of the wise men, he explains how God still “lights the path” to Christ today, but we have to choose to follow it.
From there, he challenges the way we approach New Year’s resolutions. Our culture focuses on fitness, money, and happiness—but what about spiritual growth? He lays out a clear, biblical priority: God first, then family, then church/work, and everything else after. Most importantly, he asks a question that reshapes the whole conversation: What are you willing to lose to know Jesus better? Because every gain requires loss—especially spiritual gain.
You’ll also hear practical, grounded steps for building a stronger walk with God: prayer, meaningful Bible reading, meeting with other believers, integrity in speech and conduct, repentance, sacrifice, and the often-forgotten discipline of fasting.
To make it actionable, he introduces a 30-day challenge: read the Gospel of Mark together (about half a chapter a day), meet weekly to discuss it, choose one area of character or one sin to focus on, and commit to a fast in January.
We don’t just need New Year’s resolutions—we need New Year surrenders. Even if circumstances don’t change overnight, when Christ gets deeper into the situation, we change—and peace begins to take root.
If you’re tired of recycled resolutions and ready for real internal transformation, this message is for you.
